How to create Redirect in Wix

This will cover instructions on how to create a Redirect for your product pages or your site in Wix.

URL Redirect Manager for Pages

Redirects in Wix only work with custom domains. You cannot setup a redirect from free Wix URLs to a premium site.

1. Log in to your Wix Site and go to your site's Dashboard.
2. Navigate to SEO Tools.
3. Click URL Redirect Manager and then click on + New Redirect.
4. Select Single Redirect if you want to create a redirect for a single page. If you want to redirect multiple pages that share the samee path, select Group Redirect.
5. Under Old URL, type in the path of the old URL you want to redirect from. In the field New URL, the URL path of your new page and select it from the drop-down.

6. Click Save and Close to confirm your changes.

Redirect Your Domain to a New Location

Before proceeding to redirect your entire domain, ensure that you have completed the steps above to setup redirects for your pages on your new site.

1. Log in to your Wix Site and go to Domains section.

2. Scroll to the Domain that you wish to connect.

3. Click on the 3 dots and click Assign to a Different Site.

4. Select a Site from the drop down and click Next.

5. Click Assign to confirm your changes.

Note: For the first 24 hours, the site is available under two domain names (both the primary and redirected domain). After 24 hours, the URL in your browser's address bar changes to your primary domain when you enter your redirecting domain's URL.
