How can I customize my TinyURL links?
To customize your TinyURL links, you first need to buy or register a domain or subdomain to your TinyURL account. This domain/subdomain will solely be used for link-shortening. So if your domain brought in already has content on it—whether it’s a website, blog, etc.—then we suggest an alternative solution, which is to create a subdomain or purchase a new domain.
Refer to the steps below to create your branded links:
- Set up your domain/subdomain on your TinyURL account
- For Purchase Own Domain, simply click on the Purchase Domain button from the Branded Domains Settings page to register the domain you wish to use. Once you register the domain, it may take a little while for the domain to get set up and resolve on the internet.
- For Bring your Own Domain/Subdomain, click on the Setup Domain/Setup Subdomain button, then follow the instructions to have it pointed to TinyURL. (Note: DNS might take a little while before it is fully pointed to TinyURL servers.)
- After completing the domain/subdomain setup, you can start shortening your long URLs using your branded domain by selecting it from the domain dropdown of your Create TinyURL form.
